These are my own numbers, on my own systems, with the measurement date and instrument named so you can re-run them. They are not client case studies, because I will not put a testimonial on this page before I have one worth quoting.
Original research. I pulled AI Overviews for eight commercial AI-services queries and found 36 of 59 cited sources were not in the organic top 5 for their own query. One small site was cited in three separate AI Overviews while ranking top-5 in none of them.
Search "claude code adhd" on Google. Two of the eight sources Google cites are chudi.dev pages. Measured through the live SERP API rather than self-reported, and you can re-run it yourself right now.
I recorded my own starting point publicly, at zero, before shipping any of this work. An agency that will not show you its own baseline is asking you to trust an unfalsifiable claim.

If citation tracked ranking, that number would be near zero. Good SEO helps, but it does not decide who gets quoted.
Write passages that stand alone. Answer engines lift self-contained blocks of 40 to 60 words that answer a specific question without needing the paragraph before them. Add original data they cannot get elsewhere, structure headings as real questions, and make sure your schema and crawler access actually work in production rather than in theory.

Presence is volatile between pulls, so each checkpoint takes repeated samples and reports a fraction rather than a yes or no. A one or two citation change is inside the noise floor and I will say so.
Structural changes are live immediately, but answer engines re-crawl and re-generate on their own schedule, so expect a first readable signal in 30 to 60 days. Anyone promising citation in week one is describing a coincidence, not a method.
